As many of you know, the making of City of Ashes has been delayed until further notice. The news rocked the fandom… we were gutted. I'm feeling particularly sad about it today because production of the film was meant to commence on this very day (23rd September).
Rather than sitting tight, bitting our nails until further news comes out, we want you to be pro-active!
We’re asking all of you passionate Shadowhunters to put pen to paper and write a letter or post card letting the “powers that be” (Constantin Film, Sony Pictures etc…) that #WeWantCityofBones to be made (use the hashtag on twitter where you can).
Unfortunately for Aussie Shadowhunters, we don’t have a local contact for this campaign. RoadShow Films are only one of the distributors of theatrical movies in Australia and have no influence in the decision to green light City of Ashes so please don’t spam/harass them.
We’re also at a geographical disadvantage for sending snail mail to the USA/Europe as it can take up to 10 working days!
Never fear… our voice can still BE HEARD! How you say? Fangirlish in the US has kindly offered to mail your letter on your behalf. All you need to do is send an email to email@example.com and she will print it out and mail it off for you (Thank you so much Erin for doing this for us!)
Get your letters to Erin as soon as possible! (Doesn’t need to be an essay) You have until the end of the month.
Remember Shadowhunters, no matter where you are in the world, a collective voice is the loudest!!
I KNOW it was going to be giggle fest when I heard about this pairing for the Instyle Magazine photoshoot/interview. When Instyle describes them (Jamie and Robert) as "entirely inappropriate and unpolished" I just nodded my head in agreement. In my head, it's like this:
The interview doesn't really uncover anything new except I was surprised to read that Cassie cried when Jamie and Lily did a reading together. We all know it would of been due to Cassie watching her Clary and Jace come to life before her eyes! But, the ever self-deprecating Jamie wasn't sure if it was because "it was terrible". Bless his cotton socks :P
Have a read & check out the tongue-wagging-while-you-drown-yourself-in-a-puddle-of-drool gorgeous photo's of the duo :)
